South Portland YoungLives Shoot

I had the pleasure of volunteering my time to photograph young moms for the group, YoungLives of South Portland.

From their website:

YoungLives is designed to empower and equip pregnant and parenting teen moms.

Our program teams up with a group of leaders, mentors and volunteers who provide timely encouragement, guidance and ongoing support through deep mentoring relationships and lasting friendships. YoungLives’ resources provide the basic and unique needs of a teen mom and their child. In addition to the resources we provide, we also offer a monthly Club.
Club allows teen moms to take a break from the daily stresses of going to school or working while having to navigate being pregnant or parenting as a teenage mother.

​​​​Our volunteers are committed to share the everlasting hope of Jesus through unconditional love, and support. It is our mission to serve and walk alongside all teen moms who have made the very difficult decision to become a parent. We believe every teen mom’s story is unique and important. All are welcomed!

I had so much fun, and feel so happy to have given these young moms family photos that they can cherish forever.

Mini Sessions || Model Call

How on earth could I miss posting about the model call mini sessions?! I had so much fun down at Tom McCall Waterfront Park with new clients and now, new friends! Here are some of my favorite shots from the sessions!

Amanda & Brody

Amanda and I have been friends for as long as I could remember. In high school we spent endless nights eating pizza while watching a never ending supply of movies. We went to the football games together, got snowed in at my grandparents, and so many other memories. It was so fun to get together with her to photograph her and her son, Brody. I remember the day Brody was born as I was able to be there. It sure has been a crazy ride for Amanda & Brody – but she has handled everything life has given her like a champ! The Metz’!

I met Amanda through work. She is a member at the clubhouse that I work at. Amanda did our family photos last year for us – so I of course had to return the favor! I love her kiddos so much, they are a riot! Thank you so much Amanda for letting me capture photos of you and your beautiful children!
